9 Day Tanzania Safari – Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Natron and Foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward Lake Natron, traveling through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania. Lake Natron is a spectacular and remote destination famous for its alkaline waters, volcanic surroundings, birdlife, and views toward Ol Doinyo Lengai, Tanzania's active volcano. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and enjoy lunch before exploring the surrounding area.
In the afternoon, depending on conditions and your interests, take a guided walk around the lake area or explore the nearby landscape and viewpoints. Lake Natron is particularly known for its flamingo populations, which can create an impressive spectacle when conditions are favorable. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Lake Natron and continue toward the Northern Serengeti. The journey takes you through remote and scenic landscapes before entering the Serengeti ecosystem. As you approach the northern part of the park, begin your wildlife experience with a game drive en route.

The Northern Serengeti is particularly important during periods when the Great Wildebeest Migration reaches the area. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra as well as predators following the herds. Your guide will monitor wildlife activity and select the best areas for exploration. Arrive at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: FULL-DAY NORTHERN SERENGETI – GREAT MIGRATION
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day safari in the Northern Serengeti. This day is dedicated to exploring the region and searching for the Great Wildebeest Migration when the herds are in the northern Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may encounter enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra moving through the plains. The concentration of prey can also attract lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and other predators.

If conditions and herd movements are favorable, the area can also provide opportunities to observe wildlife around the Mara River. River crossings are a natural event and cannot be guaranteed, but spending additional time in the region increases the opportunity for memorable wildlife encounters. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your exploration throughout the afternoon. Return to Haven Migration Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti before continuing south toward the Central Serengeti. The journey provides an opportunity to experience the changing landscapes of the Serengeti while continuing to look for wildlife along the way.
As you travel toward the central region, keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and the Serengeti's famous big cats. Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon and enjoy some time to relax. Later, you may enjoy an afternoon or sunset game drive depending on timing and park conditions.

Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of the Central Serengeti. After breakfast, depart with your safari guide for a full-day game drive across the endless plains. The Central Serengeti is renowned for its year-round resident wildlife and is an excellent area for searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and numerous bird species. Depending on the season, you may also encounter migrating herds passing through the region.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Return to Wildlux Serengeti in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Continue through the Serengeti landscapes, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the route. The journey gradually takes you toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, where the landscape changes from open plains to rolling highland scenery. Arrive at your lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the afternoon.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive.
The crater is one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife areas and supports an impressive concentration of animals. During your safari, look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
Later, arrive at your accommodation and enjoy dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for a full or extended game drive. Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands and diverse wildlife. Explore the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and numerous bird species. Later, depart Tarangire and drive back toward Arusha.

Enjoy Breakfast during the safari before continuing toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. As you approach the Kilimanjaro region, the landscape changes dramatically, with fertile farmland, traditional villages and views toward Africa's highest mountain. Spend the afternoon exploring the foothills and surrounding communities or enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery.

Depending on your interests and travel schedule, the morning can be used to explore the surrounding area, enjoy views of the mountain, visit a local community, or simply take in the scenery after your safari adventure.
