7 Day Serengeti Green Season Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Relax at the hotel and prepare for your safari adventure.
Your safari guide will meet you for a briefing about the itinerary, safari arrangements, and what to expect during the Green Season. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Arusha.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin your first game drive through the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and diverse wildlife.

The Green Season brings fresh vegetation and beautiful scenery to the park, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and numerous bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, depart Tarangire and continue toward Karatu and the Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching the vast plains of the Serengeti. As you enter the park, begin your first Serengeti game drive. During the Green Season, the plains can be particularly scenic, with fresh grass, lush landscapes, and dramatic skies.

Explore the park in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and wildebeest. Depending on the timing of your safari, you may also encounter migrating wildebeest and zebra. Continue your game drive before arriving at your midrange camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Today is dedicated to exploring the park's wildlife-rich plains and different habitats. Your experienced safari guide will select the best areas according to current wildlife activity and seasonal conditions.
The Green Season offers beautiful photographic conditions, with lush vegetation, dramatic skies, and newborn wildlife in some areas. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing with your afternoon game drive. Return to your midrange camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy another full day exploring the Serengeti. After breakfast, depart with your safari guide for a full-day game drive. Having an additional full day allows you to explore different parts of the park and increases opportunities for wildlife encounters. Depending on seasonal wildlife movements, your guide will search for areas with concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and predators.

The Serengeti's resident wildlife provides excellent viewing opportunities throughout the year, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing into the afternoon. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Continue through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way.

As you approach the Ngorongoro Highlands, the scenery becomes greener and more mountainous. Arrive at your midrange lodge in the afternoon and spend the remainder of the day relaxing. Enjoy the beautiful highland scenery and prepare for an early start the following morning for your Ngorongoro Crater safari.

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater is one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife destinations and supports an extraordinary concentration of animals. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater safari before ascending the crater walls.

After leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continue toward Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon or evening, where your 7-Day Serengeti Green Season Safari comes to an end.
